The Company is led by Ruth Browne an experienced former Executive Head teacher with a demonstrated history of working successfully in the education management industry.
Ruth has a passion for supporting young people with SEMH (social, emotional and mental health needs) and in 2010 went on sabbatical from her teaching career to study educational interventions for youth in New York, Washington and the Caribbean. On her return she set up Aspire AP in Westminster. The Academy was unique in its tenacity to ensure young people were given whatever support that was needed to achieve their potential. Working in partnership with local authority professionals and community leaders the provision was recognised as outstanding by Ofsted, with all students making above average progress and achieving a minimum of five GCSEs including English and maths.
Seeking to stay within the alternative provision sector she became a Director of Education across an AP multi academy trust - her responsibilities included safeguarding, HR and commissioning for schools across London and Cambridgeshire.
She has taken this passion for supporting young people to reach their potential and transferred it to the social care sector, ensuring all the young people referred to ICG are given the best possible chance of achieving success.
